The terms on which these pages are read
Open Rate Desk publishes measurements of published rates for readers in Pakistan. The figures come from named public sources and are reproduced with the date and hour they were read. This page explains what the desk does, what it cannot do, and how it is paid.
Information, not advice
Everything on this site is information. Nothing here is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do. A rate is a measurement of a published source, not a suggestion to buy or sell currency. Readers decide alone whether to act on any number they see here, and they are responsible for their own decisions. The desk does not know a reader's circumstances and cannot tailor any figure to them. No page here should be read as a promise about what a bank or money changer will offer on a particular day or at a particular counter. The desk reports what a source published, not what a reader will receive.
Because the site is not an adviser, it does not assess whether an exchange is suitable for a reader. It does not say that a rate is good or bad, high or low, fair or unfair. It only reports the gap between two published rates and leaves judgement to the reader. If a reader needs advice, they should consult a licensed adviser regulated by the SECP. This desk is not that adviser and does not hold itself out as one. The moment a figure is turned into a plan of action, the responsibility for that action leaves the desk and sits with the reader alone.
What the desk does
The desk reads named public sources, records the interbank rate published by the State Bank of Pakistan, and records the open-market rate quoted by a money changer's counter. The gap between them is measured here, not estimated. Each table names its source and gives a link, so a reader can check the figure at its publisher. The desk reads sources on a fixed schedule and republishes the figure with the date and the hour it was read. If a source changes a figure later, the desk does not chase it; the table shows what was published at the hour stated. The desk does not add its own adjustment or smoothing to any number.
The desk is responsible for the accuracy of its transcription. A figure that is wrong is corrected when the error is found, and the correction is dated. The desk answers corrections sent to the contact address. It does not answer questions about whether a reader should exchange money, nor does it explain why a rate moved. The desk's job is to measure a gap, not to interpret it. When a reader writes to ask what a figure means for them, the desk can only point back to the sources and to the definition of the gap.
What the site does not collect
The site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter, and no comment form. It sets no cookie of its own, runs no analytics, and stores nothing in the reader's browser. A reader can open these pages without giving a name, an email address, or a phone number. The desk does not know who reads the site, and it does not try to find out. There is no tracking pixel from the desk, no fingerprinting, and no third-party analytics script placed by the publisher. The only technical record is the hosting provider's request log, which every web host keeps for security and uptime. The site's publisher does not read a reader's personal data out of those logs.
Because the desk holds no client money and accepts no orders, it has no reason to ask for personal or financial details. Any email sent to the contact address is read by the desk and used only to answer the message. The desk does not share correspondence with anyone else. If a reader follows the affiliate link to the broker's site, that site has its own terms and its own privacy policy, and the reader's activity there is governed by those documents, not by this page. This site's policy ends at its own domain.
Affiliate relationship and limits
The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link, and is paid a commission if a reader opens an account there. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. The commission comes from the broker's own revenue, not from a fee added to the reader's trades. This relationship is stated plainly on this page and on the page about the publisher. The desk chose this broker because it is a large, regulated firm, but the desk does not operate the broker's site, does not see the reader's account, and does not handle any money. The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and following the link leaves this site.
The affiliate link does not change what the desk publishes. Rates are read from the same sources on the same schedule whether or not a reader ever clicks the link. The desk is not paid to make a rate look better or worse, and it does not adjust the gap to favour the broker. If the broker's own published rate differs from the State Bank's or the money changer's, that is a difference between sources, not a signal from this desk. The desk's only income from this site is the affiliate commission; it sells nothing else and charges no subscription.
