About the desk

Who publishes this site and what it measures

Open Rate Desk is an independent editorial desk. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. This page explains what the desk publishes, how it takes its one measurement, who answers for it, and how the site earns.

What the site measures

The site measures one thing: the gap between the State Bank's interbank rate and the open-market rate quoted by money changers. The interbank rate is the State Bank's own published figure. The open-market rate is what a money changer's counter quotes. The gap between them is measured here, not estimated.

The measurement is taken from named public sources and republished with the date and the hour it was read. Under every table the sources are named, with a link, so a reader can check the figure at its publisher. The desk reads the sources on a fixed schedule and records the figures exactly as published.

Why the hour is repeated

Each figure carries the hour it was read because the open-market rate can change within a day. A reader who sees the table later needs to know when the rate was observed. The date and hour are part of the measurement, not an addition to it.

The desk republishes the rate with that hour so a reader can compare it with what a money changer is quoting at that moment. If the reader checks later, the hour tells them how old the figure is. The desk does not update the table continuously; it records what it read at the stated time.

Responsibility and corrections

Responsibility sits with the publication's editorial desk. The desk reads the sources, checks the figures against the published pages, and answers corrections. If a figure is wrong, the desk corrects it and dates the correction. The address editor@openratedeskpk.pages.dev reaches the desk.

Corrections are the reason the address exists. A reader who finds a figure that does not match the source can write, and the desk will check and correct it. The desk does not answer questions about what a reader should do with the figures; it only answers about the figures themselves.

How the desk earns

The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link. If a reader opens an account there, the site is paid a commission. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. This is the only way the site earns.

The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and following the link leaves this site. The desk does not receive any other payment, and it does not sell or share reader information. Nothing on the site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer.
